There is never a dull moment at Blazer Hall! We provide many amenities to help you enjoy college life at UAB.

 

For a study break, you can catch a game of air hockey, foosball, Ms. PacMan or Galaga in our new game room on the 2^nd floor! A 50-inch plasma TV is also available for you to hook up your video game system or to watch your favorite DVD.

 

Like movies? You’ll love watching a movie or TV in our movie room with fully reclining leather seats, large screen, and awesome surround sound!

 

If free coffee, 24/7 is not enough, check out the new all-in-one flat panel computers and print your assignments in the Java Lounge. It’s also a cool hang out and people watching destination in the lobby of Blazer Hall.

 

For those late night munchies, the vending room is waiting for you 24 hours a day! Snacks and drinks are available in a variety of flavors.

 

Equipped with lots of washers and dryers, do your laundry quickly! Watch TV or study while you wait in the laundry room. Blazer Bucks can conveniently be used for you laundry, too! A wrapping station is available to all Blazer residents for your last minute gift wrapping needs!

 

Need to study with a group of classmates? Or just want a break from your room? Each floor has study rooms available for you to meet with a group or study in peace and quiet.

 

Lots of activities and events are held in the Residence Life Center or RLC. There is always something going on in the RLC. Freshmen learning community classes are held in the RLC for your convenience and your Resident Assistants (RAs) plan many fun and informative events--just for you!

 

Have a computer virus? Help is only steps away! The ASK IT Help Desk is conveniently located in Blazer Hall. The helpful staff can assist you with viruses, crashes, connectivity issues, and other computer problems. During busy times, help is available by appointment. 

 

 

Designed with you in mind, each suite provides all you need! The snack preparation area provides a full-size refrigerator, granite countertops, ample storage cabinets/drawers, and a sink. Each bedroom is fully furnished with an adjustable twin-sized bed that can be bunked, two two-drawer dressers that are stackable, a desk and hutch with a keyboard tray and storage drawers, a two-position desk chair, granite vanity with sink, drawers and storage underneath, separate shower and toilet area for privacy*, and individual closets*. *ADA rooms vary. 

 

Each suite comes complete with individual air conditioning and heating controls, cable TV with a movie channel, ResNet Ethernet ports for each student, and all utilities included. Phone lines are available for students to activate their request for a fee.
